Some mornings I feel just like Maxine!...

Wow! Do I have the retirement bug bad!!!! I'm so ready to retire but my resources and bank account are not ready! So I will continue to work at my favorite job -- best job I have ever had -- for a large law firm in downtown Atlanta until I find that I have the resources available to retire.

This will probably be another two or three years.

I have resolved the issue about where I want to retire. Having moved from Illinois when I was just barely 21 to Houston, Texas and then to Georgia when I was 35, I have lived in Georgia most of my life. Therefore, since I dearly love the North Georgia Mountains, I'm going to a small town about 85 miles North of Atlanta to retire.

It's time for me to get away from the hustle and bustle of a large city. It will be good to be in a more quiet place. I grew up on a farm two miles north of Waverly, IL (a very small town) and now that I'm "older" I miss the peace and quiet of the smaller towns.

More on retirement as the thoughts occur.
