Hi. Billie B. here.
I think this piece is absolutely beautiful! I love it. The placement of color is so perfect and well-placed. I love the composition, placement of shapes. It's very pleasing to my heart and my gutt. I have grown up with art in my life. My late aunt was a pro artist her whole life and I had the wonderful experience of witnessing her evolution in her work from babyhood until she died. I used to say that art broke my heart because I tried and tried to draw and wasn't "doing it right." Now that I am 57 I am learning again but pretty much alone until I can afford a good class. My aunt taught people for years. When I try to do what I think I am supposed to do, as my aunt commented: "What happened? Where did the freedom and the innocence go?" Maybe it was more structurally correct but there was no heart. So I study a little formal instructions and rules and then let it go for a while and draw just simple kid type illustrations, like in kid's books. And I've started beading and painting tiles and rocks and starting to learn about wire jewelry. Finally, I don't care as much what people think. I have to do some work every day or I get stressed out and pissed because life seems not worth it if I can't make time to draw, paint, or create something. Oh, I do have a photography background so compostion is definitely something I have paid attention to for about twenty years. I guess I want to qualify myself because I want you (the artist) to think my positive opinion
has worth. It really is a beautiful work. Oh, I also love how the backlighting is so gently executed. And the kids at the end, how perfect. Thank you for your work, for sharing your gift with us. Billie Hi everybody!
