Roger, this is fantastic. Where is it?

Would you give me permission to use your photo as a resource to create an artwork. I don't know if it would be representational or abstract,a painting, drawing, or a digital work, but I love the lines, shadows and the protrusion of rock in that vastness. It really gets my imagination going and I visualize the energies and forces underground that caused this. Even the surface erosions and interesting. I find roads in places like this to cause my curiosity some turmoil wondering why?, where from?, where to?, by whom? It is a stunning photo.

peace,

This pic, I copied and pasted from a ShipRock mountain webpage. Oh yes, please create an artwork from it. I would love to see your final art image. The Navajo indians find this structure to be very spiritual and special. I like it from its geological sigificance.

I read about this site and the appearance association. My own thought was that it resembles a princess headpiece in some Native American ceremonies. The long trail of up pushed land reminds me of a tail of eagle feather falling from the headpiece. Such is my imagination, maybe more since I have danced in Pow Wow's, no fancy dress though. No fancy dress though. ;-)

I can't promise a painting soon, Roger, I'm on a break while I deal with some other things, but I would like to give a hand at it. It will be interesting since I am an abstract painter. Not sure if I will do it abstract or impressionistic. I'm better at realism if I draw it. We will see. Thank you for this.

Suzanne
