Ferndale Creek Final 20X20 Acrylic on Canvas

I finally got so frustrated that I took the canvas up to the creek to finish it, the whole thing became a study in abstractions rather than the way I thought it would go. I have way too many hours into such a small canvas, with just a lot of squinting.

This picture has wonderful texture and color qualities. My only suggestion is be very careful how you frame it. It's beautiful.--W

Thanks everyone, I'm going to enter it in a juried show at the California Art Club coming up in March and I think Wartist is right, any frame suggestions? We can't all be so lucky as Meeker and find the right sizes in our basements. Hah!

Randy's comment brings to mind a mail order business ventured during college years. I advertised in POPULAR MECHANICS as ARTISTIC FRAME COMPANY, and the ad cost a small fortune. I finally made back the cost of the ad and immediately went out of business. . . . Foiled again by the fickle finger of fate!! . . . . Good luck with your entry in the show!

Work with a Pro that has a good rep. It my cost extra but they will give you strong ideas and try to help you pick one that will compliment the picture. If you are listing it in a show to sell just add the frame cost to the price.--W

Oops, that should be 'It may cost', fingers are slow tonight.--W

I've owned a custom picture framing business for 20 years, and I would frame this very simply.
The painting is powerful and speaks for itself!

I love the freshness of the colors in this painting.
