Kat, this is really really nice! You'll find that each portrait gets better than the last. You learn from each one! Just a little suggestion, soften the lines in his clothing. Using a darker shade of purple. Sometime try a kneaded eraser! I use one a lot. Probably the first area to try it out would be in the folds of the clothing. You may can use it on this one instead of adding more pastel. I love how you did his hair. You didn't over do! Babies usually don't have a lot of hair and that's a mistake a lot of artist have is giving them too much hair! Love it!
