An amazing photo. You were a very beautiful young lady. My family immigrated from Germany from somewhere near Austria I believe. Some day I would love to go to Germany for a visit.......someday!
......................you are/were a very beautiful lady ma'am, I know your heart still is also. My gggrandfather Anthony Seyle came to this country from Dusseldorf in 1850 at age 45, and married my gggrandmother Louisa within the year when she was 25. They had 11 children, their first my ggrandmother Mary Ann. Gramps served through the whole civil war, loosing a leg. At wars end he took his family to his Veteran's Landgrant in West Deerfield Ill. where my gramma Olive Carpenter was born, and my gramps Joe Johnson met and married in 1915. He served as an army War Cinema Photographer in Europe during WWI, and him and gramma moved to Hollywood in 1920 just after my dad Joe Johnson was born in Chicago. Members of my families have served in every war this country has been involved in.............
NamVet, it is so good to learn about our ancestors. My father and 3 of my brothers served in the military. Way back there were others too. When I was in Leeds, England I stopped to look at a war memorial that was in the middle of a town square. I discovered that 2 men of our lineage were listed.
