These wells, placed inside a boomerang-shaped mowing strip was my answer to watering crepe myrtles on a very sloping location.

If you happen to be a gardener as well as a potter you may be interested in this recent project. . . As I worked on these planters I was reminded of hand building pots using the coil method when I was a kid . . . Of course, as you've probably guessed, these are not really bricks, only made to appear so.
