A Gift is a fun way to show your appreciation and affection to another Eons member. Gifts combine an amusing icon with a short, personal message, to create a fun way to communicate on Eons.

Eons Gifts are free for a limited time only, so send a Gift today! You send Gifts by using Gift credits. Credits will be awarded to you each week that you participate in the Eons community.

You earn Gift credits by doing any of the following activities:

  • Add a new Friend
  • Join a group
  • Post a message to a group
  • Post a new blog entry
  • Post a comment on a blog, Profile, article, photo, video, or game
  • Add a new photo to your Profile, Group or LifeMap
  • Start or update your Lifemap
  • Add, modify, or complete your LifeDreams

Sending Gifts

Go to the Profile page of the member to whom you want to send a Gift. Enter the Eons Gift store by clicking on the send a Gift link at the top of the member's Profile page.

  • Your Gift credits balance will show up in the upper right corner. One Gift credit is redeemable to give one Gift.
  • Browse the Gift selections and choose the Gift you'd like to send.
  • Enter a short, fun message. Gifts are showcased on a recipient's Profile page, so make sure you are comfortable with others reading your message.
  • Once you are done, simply click "Send." The Gift will appear on the member's Profile for the next two weeks.

Keep track of your Gifts

The most recent Gifts you receive will show up on your Profile. If you don't want others to view your Gifts, you can limit access to your full Profile though your Privacy Settings. You can also determine who can send you Gifts through your Privacy Settings.

  • Below the Gifts displayed on your Profile page, you will find a link to your Gifts vault.
  • The Gifts vault has three tabs: a tab for the Gifts you have received within the last two weeks (they expire thereafter), a tab for the Gifts you have sent in the last two weeks (they expire thereafter), and a memory lane tab, which stores the history of all the Gifts you have ever received.
  • Only you can view all three tabs. Others can only view your Gifts received tab, if they have access to your full Profile.

Some rules for Gifts

There are two Privacy Settings that impact Gifts:

  • Who can see my Profile? As part of a member Profile, Gifts can be viewed by other members depending on the privacy setting selected for your entire Profile. The choices are "everyone," "only my friends," or "no one." Therefore, if you send a Gift to a person who has their privacy setting for their Profile set to "no one," you will not see the Gift you have sent them on their Profile page. However, you will still be able to see all the Gifts you have sent in the sent tab of your Gift vault.
  • Who can send me Gifts? You can choose to limit who can send you Gifts by adjusting your Profile privacy settings, with the same options as those for who can see your Profile.
