Create an Eons Obit and give your loved one
a meaningful, engaging, lasting tribute.


Eons Obits gives family members and friends the opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one with photos and tributes, along with a traditional obituary. Just follow the steps below to create and share the story of your loved one, for now and years to come:

  1. Go to the Obits homepage [obits.eons.com].

  2. Click on "Local Obits."

  3. Type in a name and date range of death in the Obits Archive box and click "Search." Be sure to put in a time frame and, if you are not sure, select ALL.

  4. On the list of results, locate the person you are searching for and click on their name.
    ** If you can't locate a record, please send us an email so we can create a record for your loved one! Please provide us with the following: Name, Date of Birth, Date of Death, Last Place of Residence, and send an email to obits@eons.com.

  5. Click on "Edit this Obit . . . Write their Story."

  6. If you have an Eons account, enter your log-in information. If you are not a member, you will need to go through the registration process.

    Once registered and/or logged-in, you may input your text. Once completed, click "Enhance this Obit."

  7. Click "Upgrade this Obit."

  8. Here you can add unlimited text and a main photo. Be sure to click "save"!

  9. After you click "save" your tribute will display and you can now add photos for the slideshow. Also, click the "Email family & friends" button to encourage others to leave a memory in the memory journal.
