Posting to a group is a great way to get involved on Eons. You can add your thoughts easily and watch to see what others have to say.
But there may come a time when you will want to say more than can be said in a few sentences. Or you may want to keep your ideas in a more permanent place. That's when you will want to create your own online journal, or blog (from "Web log").
Here's how to get started.
1. Find the page called "Start a new blog post." From your Home page: Click on "my blog" in the left column. From your "My Profile" page: Click on "Post a blog" in the center column. From your Blog page, click "Post a blog" in the left column.
2. Give your blog a title. Write five to eight words that capture the main point of your blog.
3. In the drop-down list beside "Related to?" you can tie the blog to one of your LifeDreams or events on your
LifeMap, but you don't have to. Click "No selection" if you want to leave it blank.
4. Upload a photo from your computer. (See "How to post a photo on Eons.")
5. Write a caption in the "Photo description" box. You'll want to keep this to a sentence or two, though there is plenty of space here.
6. Write your blog in the box titled "Posting body." You have about 2,000 words to play with, but if it's that long you will probably want to break it up into two or three parts. Tip: If your blog post is more than a few paragraphs, you should first write it in a text document such as Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, Wordpad, or Notepad. That way you will have a backup in case you have difficulty uploading the file.
7. Add keywords that will help people find your blog if they were doing a search. For example, if your blog is about skydiving for the first time, you might use "skydiving," "parachute," and "insane."
8. Click "Publish," and your blog will become live!
9. To make changes, click "Edit this blog" at the bottom of the "Keywords" box. This takes you to the "Edit blog post" page, which looks exactly like the form you used to create the blog in the first place. Make your changes, and then click "Publish." You can edit your blog entries as often as you wish.
Congratulations! You are now officially a blogger!

Not sure how all of eons works but am enjoying the learning process nonetheless.
