A tribute to the lost culture of the Highland way of life and its language,Gaelic. The southern rain being the British influence that banned Gaelic being spoken, the tartan was banned..after they conquered Scotland. Now, sewing new seeds, Gaelic is being taught once again, the tartan can be worn, but the crofters are gone...those people who lived with usually one cow, a few sheep and who grew potatoes and cut peat for their fires. These people never owned the land they tilled..the landholders had them by the short hairs..taxing them and taking the best of what they grew.
