    Places I've been
Key West, FL (Hometown), I have lived in Washington state since 1960. While growing up we lived in Sultan WA and in Vancouver, WA. I went into the military. Join the army and did 14 years before I was force medically retired. While in the military, I had some real good jobs. one was flying in the Yo-3a. I and three others put in over 100 missions in a very short time of seven months and around 975 flying hours. The other great job I enjoyed, was being an advisor to the Oregon National Guard out of Salem Oregon. I was force out on retirement because my eyes decided not to work right. I have glacoma in both eyes. I'm legally blind. I don't drive, I walk. On some days, I arrange for rides. Living in Idaho has been a challenge for me. mostly a bit more than I want to take on. But, I still make it thru with friends and family. I have been to South Viet Nam, Korea, all states in the USA. not counting PR, Guam, and the others. Been to Mexico, and Canada. I don't have a pass port.

    About Me

It all started back in 1951, Key West, FL. When my dad retire from the navy we were living in Washington state. I lived in Sultan wa then moved to Vancouver, WA. I went to Ellsworth Elem. school JR hs, then on to Evergreen high school.

Join the military. My goal was to beat my brother to thegrade of E-8. I made the E-8 list with ten years in service. If the doctores could have held me one more month I think I would have made E-8.

One might call me a PEOPLES PEOPLE. I like to be with others and I can do good by myself. I like to make new friends with same type backgrounds.

I use a white cane when away from the house. Does help to get around. However, my cane doesn't water or snow ski. nor does it walk on gravel vary well. Black top or concrete works the best.

I like cutting firewood using a chain saw. If I can see you while running the saw, you are to close and the saw gets turn off now.

When hunting, if I'm walking behind, you in trail, my rifle is aloaded for safety. thats just me.

    • With the gas prices as they are now at 4.05 per/gal. I still get around. With my knee on the healing stage and hurting as bad, I get to get out and walk more. However, if I go west its up hill to town! If I go east, agin its up hill. The down side isthat my wife doesn't like walking on the hiway in either direction. Most often , I arrange rides to get to Deary or even Moscow. Its almost ready to get a horse. But maintence on a horse is just as bad! still need to feed the horse. Buying grain, equipment for the horse still needto drive do all these things, or make other arrangements.

    • I must say I am inspired by your post today, Sunday, June 1st. From reading your profile, you've been living with this challenge for many years. Thank you for being so positive. It gives me encouragement for the future. Most of us will deal with some adversities before we meet our maker. I hope some of those younger people around you are realizing that.
