A 70 yo white (widowed) female author with published books of fiction, songs, poetry, and non-fiction. I like to travel, take walks, and spend time with the children and grandchildren.

I am a Conservative Christian (Methodist) who has never smoked nor drank, and really don't care to be around those who do so to excess. I don't attend church regularly. but try to live a positive, productive, and inspired life.  

Activities

Writing, attending writers' groups, walking, family fun with children and grandchildren, day trips with friends.

Battered Women's Organization, The Right to Life Group, Shop with a Cop/Firefighter.

Favorite Music

Classical and any good music with well written lyrics. I am a songwriter, as well as an author, and enjoy good lyrics.

Favorite TV Shows

The Amazing Race, Lost, Any good movie series such as the Hallmark movies, Little House on the Prairie reruns, I Love Lucy reruns, The Waltons reruns.

Favorite Movies

The Sound of Music, The Lord of the Rings, National Treasure, Music from Another Room, all the Indiana Jones movies, The Wizard of Oz, the early Disney Movies: Bambi, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, etc.

Favorite Books

1. Mike Huckabee's "From Hope to Higher Ground, " a wonderful book by a remarkable man that I'm priviledged to call my friend. 2. John Grisham's "A Painted House." 3. My own books, "Shaking the Apple Trees, the Stories of Henry Jesse Hatton, " "The Family Tree and Other Stories, " etc. 4. And my favorite, Harold Bell Wright's "The Shepherd of the Hills."

Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mom and Dad. Grandparents, and other family members. Favorite school teacher, Mrs. Marie Fuller.

The Ouachita Mountains, The Blue Ridge Mountains, Washington D.C., Nashville, Tn., Texas Hill Country in the spring, and home.

Favorite Animals

Deer, horses, my dog, and the wild creatures that live on my land: a fox family, a bobcat family, squirrels, raccoons, bunnies, and many varieties of birds.
