Places I've been: been around a bit. Lived on the west side, Oregon mostly. Hopped freights when I was 18 from here to chicago with a few friends, Ending in Maine, then N.Y.C. in 1969. [no, I blew it and stayed home instead of the woodstock thing, but that's another story] Lived at Lake Tahoe when I was still in middle school. Lived in southern oregon near Cave Junction in a comunity called Takilma. had some land there for a few years. Wish I still had that. My family lived outside of Redmond, Washington way before microsoft. About 1957. We lived without running water or electricity on 12 acres of nice forest, so that will let you know where I'm comming from
More about me: I'm an old hippie and I'm happy with everything. Even the arthritis isn't gonna slow this dude down, fake knee or not. Love to camp, flyfish, play the guitar near the fire at night.

My most important assets are my friends
Activities: camping, hotsprings, music, political discussions, hibernating in the winter.Got hooked on fly-fishing about 6 years ago. Love to sit in my float-tube on a quiet lake.

Favorite Music: beatles, Grateful dead, James taylor, Joni mitchel, phish, anything live, and my own stragulation of the guitar.
Favorite TV Shows: I like to watch the news, spcifically Politics. That's my reality t.v.. I also watch Stewart and Colbert, and all the Science channels, and Natioal Geoghaphic, and House, Scrubs, Futurerama
Favorite Movies: Action, Comedy, Nature documentaries
Favorite Books: newspapers and magazines, Medium crossword. The last set of books I read was about the first americans by an anthropologist couple whom I cant remember their names off hand
Favorite Quotes: Don't worry about it
Favorite People: Mr. Barack Obama. I love what he can bring to this country. I don't think the country is smart enough for him, though. He's not enough drama. Smart, Moderate, Fair. He don't want no bickering
Favorite Places: sitting in a nice hotspring that I know of in the woods near Lowman, Idaho, and in the same area there's a nice cabin we rent at the end of a road that has its own hotspring, that is set out in a beautiful meadow along a river 35 miles to the nearest town.

Hi Oregon. Portland is my home town. Haven't been back to Oregon in many, many years but I still long to go back to see it. The Oregon coast is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Dad, Mom, my two sisters and I lived in Newport, OR in an old clapboard house sitting on the cliff just above the beach for a short period when I was about 10 years old. I still remember that old house and watching the waves roll in, crash into the cliff below our house and spray up onto my bedroom windows. Someday I want to go back to that area even though I know the house is gone. The Yaquina lighthouse was just a couple miles (?) up the beach from us and I remember watching the fog slowly roll down the beach until our house was totally engulfed.
