More about me

Born and raised in northern Illinois.  Also lived in Wisconsin, Montana and the last 24 years in Michigan.  I've been a stay at home mom, waitress, restaurant manager, cowgirl, truckdriver and Quality Assurance Coordinator.  The many days spent on horseback were some of the best.

I have two grown children - Erin and Joshua - and my husband also has two - Joanne and Marianne.  We have 8 grandchildren - Hunter, Garrett, Ashlee, Cody, Christian, Kaylynn, Betty Jo and Aria.  None of them live in Michigan but we love it when we do get to see them. 

I love animals - always have and always will.  Right now I only have cats but have had many dogs and 1 horse in the past.  I have been told that I have an exceptional repoire with cats - I see that as an honor.  I used to work at and still volunteer for an animal blood bank.  I have met many wonderful furbabies there - some even came home with me!!

I think animals are more honest than a lot of people today.  I also believe they deserve our respect and best care.  I have grieved and raged at the atrocities some people inflict on animals and also rejoiced in the recovery and rehoming of other furbabies. 

I like a simple, laid-back kind of life.  I've been there in the crush of professional life and didn't like it.  I've had a good amount of money but it didn't make me happy like I am now.  We're not poor but also not wealthy.  If we didn't have so many pets, we'd be doing pretty well but I wouldn't trade them for any amount of money in the world.  We have a lot of furbabies by some people's standards but we've have more if we could afford it.
