More about me

     I was a  "free spirit" in my younger days. I had no siblings and was taught to be independent and responsible by my parents. I didn't marry until I was 43 years old but had some meaningful relationships before that. My husband David was the love and joy of my life. Our paths had crossed many times before we met, and our values and beliefs were well-matched. He was a superb jazz musician and a brilliant thinker, intuitive and insightful, and there was always something new to talk about.

   I was widowed, quite unexpectedly in April, 2008. I now live with two dogs, three cats, a bajillion quail and other feathered and furry friends on 10 acres in a river canyon area. (The animal population fluctuates - there are a lot of dump-offs...some of which stay here forever.                                                                                                         

  I have two adult step-children (one in Kansas, one on the other side of the mountains) and five step-grandchildren -the 'newest' is just six months old - and the first girl!  (We see each other infrequently. )I'm beginning a new phase in my life and I'm lonely and excited. walking, painting, playing piano & guitar, helping a friend with dog rescue work, working on our [10-acre] property.

almost anything to do with animals, wildlife, environment; and Heifer International.

traditional jazz, classical, "pure" folk music. I can't stand today's "noise."
