More about me

I'm ragtag and romance, jeans and jewels, all rolled into one. I was born and raised in New Orleans, then left when my ex couldn't find employment in the mid-80's to establish a new homestead in a suburb of Dallas. I raised my children there and spent 16 years in the city. Some ups and some downs, but I wouldn't give up much of it.

 Circumstances made it seem right to move to Atlanta when my firm asked me to move, so off I went, this time just me, Pooh Bear, Maude and Mystic. I made some good friends and enjoyed the time I was in Atlanta, but it wasn't home.

 More circumstances brought me back to New Orleans 3 weeks before Katrina hit. Since then, I've bought a house, had it renovated, and am now ready to rediscover the city and its spirit.

I write fiction as a hobby and travel often with my job. When I travel on my own, it's usually in the fall, and it's usually to somewhere that appreciates that season. It is my favorite season, although if you count Christmas as a season, it's a flat out race.

I enjoy watching football, pro and college and have Tulane season tickets with my brother and sister-in-law. (Okay....it was the best company I could find!) I've also been found occasionally at a Nascar racetrack (yes, I can name some of the drivers), and I always have to have breakfast with Wimbledon on TV. Maybe someday I'll do it in person.

I've never been to Europe, but I want to go. I also want to see Russia, and sleep in a rain forest.

I have rheumatoid arthritis which sometimes (only sometimes!) limits my activities. I used to love camping and hiking and still indulge in antique hunting and haunted house hunting in small towns. But I'll never ski, or play tennis again, or run a marathon, or quilt by hand. I'm still hunting for all of the other things that I'll be doing instead.
