Hello. I'm Terri from Lafayette, Indiana, the heart of the midwest.

FAMILY: I'm married to Jim for 36 years. We are a computer match from back in 1970's. Jim is a retired postal worker. We have 2 grown children - Jerry & Jody. I have 2 grandchildren Kelvin & Cody. My granddaughter Katrina passed away at 2 1/2 from a congenital heart defect. She is our angel and her spirit remains with us.

VALUE: What I value in life is God, family, and how I use my God given talents. I believe that we all have been given gifts and we need to use these gifts for the greater glory of God. In doing so, we make the world a better place. PROFESSION: By profession, I am a nurse and an eductor. I've taught in a nursing program for 36 years and recently retired. My focus was helping students reach their potential. I beleive that as an educator, I am forming the next generation of nurses. As a teacher, my belief is that there is a genius in each of us just trying to get out.

Who I'd like to meet: Persons who are energetic, enthusiastic who have goals in life and know where they are going. I love meeting people who know that they have a lot of potential and have that restlessness of their genius just waiting to be let out. Our roads will cross by design.

Activities

I have a wide range of interests. SEWING AND QUILTING: This relaxes me and allows me to be creative. I am in the Churchs quilting group making quilts for the missions, for Jubilee Christmas families and Habitat for Humanity residents. ACCORDION: I play the accordion with minimal mastery of the instrument. I have 3 accordions because they are so colorful and unique. My best selection is Silent Night. PAINTING: Landscapes are my best work. My best accomplishment is a large painting of the nursing pin that hangs in the School of Nursing lobby where I taught. POETRY: I've written several poems and have had some published. My goal is to write a 5-generation book of poems that reflects the historical impact through the years. My father, his father, me, my children have all written poems. VOLUNTEERISM: I believe that we need to give back, as we are all blessed and need to use our talents accordingly. I've served on the Church Council, taught natural family planning classes, helped with square dance classes, was a marriage encounter presenting couple-with my husband of course. I keep myself active in community and Church. its an important part of who I am.
