Places I've been

have visited most of the states west of the big muddy. Liked Tucson and Arcata the best. went to school in the grey area and loved the culture. Art school was a revelation. Cal state long beach was a diploma mill with pretense. made my way selling my pottery and jewelry throughout the great state of california then got tired of 2 demensional lifestyle and moved to the NW. went to Moscow(russia) twice because you cannot visit all the art museums there in one visit and still dance tango every nite! My dream is to dance tango in all the capitols of europe! visited the family I have in Malmo Sweden several times and if it wasn't cold I would move there.Thinking of immigrating to New Zealand as there is tango and not a lot of people(7 million in the whole country and 14 million in the LA basin!!!)

Raised in LA b4 it got ugly and wish there were still orange groves there. Moved to southern Oregon in 1979 and never looked back. lived on my brothers land and after a year moved on. No one laughed at my jokes or played bridge or chess( Loved the farm animals but couldn't understand the people! They all talked about after the revolution and I asked who would give them food stamps after the revolution, needless to say I wasn't popular). Looked at Seattle and thought it was LA with rain. visited friends of friends here and found home(SPORTLAND). Along the way have worked all kinds of jobs but currently make my living as an iron worker/welder. I'm looking forward to retiring and returning to my art(BFA sculpture). Enjoy my home and garden and want to build another that I design from scratch. I read ,keep bees and restore old cars(STUDEBAKERS). eclectic interests. well read and articulate. Activities

Films(especially samuri filmsand new wave directors) live music, dancing(addicted to argentine tango), museums, day hikes and yard sailing, I'm gregarious so any group activities are always welcome. for hobbies I read, restore old cars and keep bees, will try anything that doesn't sound obviously painful.

Early jazz and blues, Fats Waller, rock, folk and blues of any vintage, Commander Cody, Jim Kweskin, Dan hicks, Frank Zappa, Van(the man) Morrison, ethnic music of all places(I have a huge collection of records in my library) could go on and on but probably would be too esoteric for many.

Don't watch a lot of TV( I have a jewelry studio I steat away to and get creative when I have time to spare, But have enjoyed Law& order and Jericho lately prefer the british stuff on OPB
