Hometown: I grew up in a very small southern Indiana town. The school was so small that art consisted of tracing your hand to make a turkey at Thanksgiving.
Places I've been: England, have family there. East coast, west coast, mostly south coast :-)
More about me: I'm a late in life art student....better late than never as I've been told. But I attend college and am working on a BA in Fine Art. Most recently have built a studio in my garage. This is limiting as I have no heat or AC but it's certainly better than none at all. I love creating anything, art included. I garden do some photography and generally fiddle when I'm not required to make the money that allows me to do these other things.

I used a palette knife for this series of paintings and large brushes. The gazing (mostly for the background is pretty new to me and I love the depth you can get with it. thanks for the comment.

Thank you. No. I draw them in with a wood burning pen and then just shade them with it. When I add the color I sometimes darken the areas I want to recede and leave other areas lighter to push them forward. Its all pretty flat in actuality.
