I grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Arlington High School in 1966. I went to Texas Christian University. My daughter, Shay, was born in 1970. My son, Bradford, was born in 1977. My daughter-in-law, Amanda, was born in 1980. My husband, Jerry, and I traveled a lot with his job before he passed away. We basically stayed within the U.S. borders. There are still so many places that I want to see. I love to travel.

More about me

I am a 60 year old widow from Dallas.  I am 5'3" and have red/blonde hair.  I am currently dating a wonderful man from Ft. Worth, Texas.  Yes, I met him on a website.  LOL  He is a diver and we have talked about retiring to the Carribean.  It's big talk. LOL  He retired from the Navy after 21 years and was stationed there.  It's a tough job, but I guess someone had to do it.

I grew up in Arlington, Texas when it was a somewhat small town.  It was when almost everyone knew everyone else.  I still correspond with many of my high school friends.  We had a website last year for our 40th reunion and it was wonderful to reconnect with each other. 

Basically, my family is my children.  Both of my parents have passed away.  I have no grandchildren, but I'm still praying for that.  My daughter is an honors geography teacher in Plano, Texas.  She teaches high school.  My son is a restaurant general manager in Flower Mound, Tx. and my daughter-in -law is a restaurant manager for the Embassy Suites in Frisco, Texas. 

I am retired due to disabilites.  I have arthritis and diabetes.  I love to cook, travel, read, watch TV, work on the internet and listen to music.  Music is my passion.  I love all kinds, but favor the 50's and 60's.  I was a professional singer when I was younger, so was my daughter.  Give me a microphone and a stage and I'm in heaven. LOL

A major part of my life is my cat, Jasper.  He gives me unconditional love and I return it to him.  I can talk a lot about him.  LOL  However, I try not to bore people with it.  Now, I don't mind boring them about my children.  LOL  I love a dramaless world where everyone makes a genuine effort to enjoy their lives and explore new avenues.  Life is too short to be stressed out.

Almost anything. I like the golden oldies, the 50's and 60's, rock, folk, some classical. Basically anything. I'm always willing to listen to new music. I really enjoy American Idol. My favorite artists are Ricky Nelson, The Eagles, Rod Stewart, yes, Barry Manilow, John Denver, Linda Ronstandt, Pam Tillis, Carrie Underwood, The Dixie Chicks, Chicago

Favorite TV Shows

Big Brother, American Idol, Without A Trace, One Tree Hill, Friday Night Lights, The Real Housewives of Orange County. I like reality shows, good movies. I love watching the Mavericks and the Cowboys.

The Big Chill, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Dr, Zhivago, Save the Last Dance, Erin Brochavich, anything with a good soundtrack and westerns.
