More about me

I'm 50, 4' 10" tall, about 110 pounds. I have light brown hair and brown eyes. I'm divorced - 16 years - and currently not in a relationship due to the death of my boyfriend last year, from pancreatic cancer. I share my home with my 3 dogs and a cat, and have a horse. I work with people with disabilities, in group homes and as a therapeutic riding instructor. I love my work! Though it will probably never make me rich, it is very rewarding.

Having recently bought my first home, I am painting, remodeling, and restoring a lot of things in and around this 100-year-old house. It's a "work in progress", kind of paralleling putting my 50-years-young life back together.

It isn't one of my strong points, talking about myself, but it is time for me to get back among the living, and a friend mentioned this site. I like what I've seen so far, and hope to make some new friends here.

 

Activities

horseback riding, yardwork, hiking and walking, most outdoor activities. writing, Steeler football, reading, listening to music. canoeing, learning new things, eating out or cooking in, painting, spending time with my dogs. Search-and rescue work, beaches, watching sunsets, thunderstorms, spending time with my daughter and her family. not a big TV watcher. In fact, I currently don't own one.

I don't watch too many movies, but have enjoyed The Black Stallion, Happy Feet, Mask, and others.

I like to read many different authors, from John Grisham to Stephen King. Sylvia Browne, Osho, Rod McKuen, Jewel, Patricia Cornwell, ...anything and everything that catches my interest.
