I'm a secretary in an elementary school.  I'm widowed and have 2 sons of whom I am extremely proud.  My youngest son just moved out to be a roommate with 4 college girls.  They wanted a male presence in the house and he was thrilled to to it!  He pops back home even now and again, especially when his pantry is empty.  He is currently seeking an internship for electric engineering.  My older son lives in Pittsburg and is an aspiring actor/filmmaker.  Since that profession doesn't pay the bills yet, he works in a restaurant so he can eat.

 I'm an avid reader and will devour two novels in a week.  I have to force myself to take a break from reading so I can get some things done around the house! 

 I'm also a seamstress.  I've made everything from dog jackets to pinch pleated drapes.  The project I'm most proud of is the replica of a wedding gown I made for a doll owned by the mother of the bride.  No patterns, just from photos.  When she saw it, she cried.  I never had anyone reduced to tears before!

 I do most of my own home repairs and improvements.  Let me tell you how I almost flooded my kitchen and electrocuted my son!  Not at the same time, mind you.  Home improvement projects always make for good stories.

My most recently used adage is:  Necessity is the mother of invention.
