If you were a contestant on Jeopardy what would be your dream trivia category?

I know a lot about womens' health and nutrition. Mind you, I don't always put what I know into practice, but I can analyze my screw-ups like a true master.

What is your favorite family dinner?

Lately, healthy fare. Don't eff with me. I'm dieting, and I'm hot flashing.

Who are your heroes?

Our sons and daughters who are giving away their innocence in the honorable service of their country, and those who are continuing to try to bring them home.

Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?

The most illustrious? Colin Powell, at whose house I had New Years Brunch over twenty years ago. He laughed at my jokes, so obviously I liked him. The most interesting, though, is my manicurist, who's paid more dues than any human being ever ought to, and harbors more hope than anyone I know.

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

Bending. Working out. Supporting my adult children. And retirement is still much farther away than I thought it would be when I was younger.

What is your dream vacation?

I haven't seen the ocean in over ten years. I dream of retiring there someday. That said, I'd also like to take my family to Berlin, where I grew up.

Where were you born?

Upstate New York. We moved to Germany when I was six months old, though.
