A widow for 6 years, I've had an exciting life in international business, lived in several countries, and visited a hundred others. Taught college for a while til the buracracy beat me down. I have two terrific grown kids, the youngest my daughter, is the staff photographer for the Army Special Forces at Fort Bragg, NC, My son is self employed and a very good photographer in his own right (he's got really good equipment, I'm envious).
Currently on an extended "photo" expedition to Mexico, Guatamala, Costa Rica, and then? Somewhere warm, where the weather suits my clothes. I have a couple serious outlets for my work so the trip should be self-financing. The only thing lacking is "crew". I believe the most exciting time is coming. Unfortunately, it looks like the rest of the voyage may be solo . . .or, maybe not.
I'm a semi-pro photographer, half fun, half for money. My portfolio runs from travel, commercial, industrial, boudoir, beauty, headshots and stock on 18 web sites; pretty eclectic. Mostly trying to leave a trail of my path through life, hopefully, a couple footprints will survive. Samples of my non-commercial work is on these pages or by visiting
And, just becoming a fledgling writer, check out

I was given a hand-me-down Brownie Autographic (circa 1917) when I was a kid, and have been hooked on photography since, through Argus C3, Mamiya, just about every Canon 35 mm made. Now I shoot mostly with a Konica Minolta A200 which is my knock-around camera, a Fuji fp3800 for backpacking, and a Sony DSCR1 for more stable work. Although I've had Photoshop 7 through CS, I'm still trying to capture and understand the power of that program.
