Places I've been

Erie (Hometown), My life has not been one of travel since I was responsible for the caretaking of my 5 children and then later after my children were gone of my elderly Mom. I did travel to SC to watch both of my youngest children graduated from Marine boot camp at Parris Island. This last November I flew again for the first time in almost 30 years to watch my daughter graduate her newest group of recruits from Parris Island. Her brother,whom had just returned from Ramadi, Iraq and his wife along with my youngest grand-daughter met me in Ralleigh NC ... where we also met up with my oldest son and his wife (up from Lexington NC). My Marine son and family then drove to Parris Island. It was amazing watching from the VIP seats, to see how my "little girl" had gone from being a recruit to being a DI... quite the experience!

I'm a widow, with 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren.and another on the way. I work as an engineering assitant for an electronic manufacturer. My responibilities deal mostly with documentation, although I do have some more narrowed tasks in determining the compliancy and/or suitability of certain components for particular designs.

I homeschooled my three youngest children while I ran a day care out of my home for financial suppport. I guess I've been an independent person for quite some time, although be all alone now was not the plan I had for my life 30 years ago. I enjoy watching movies and reading.... I find them to be a great way to escape a life that may not be of our choosing. I've been upbeat the majority of my life... I just seem to be tired of late.

I weigh a whole lot more than I'd like but find it much more difficult to lose than to gain these days... A big surprise to most of you I'm sure (lol)

I find most people to be interesting in some area or another, because a person is more widely known does not necessarily mean they are interesting I can tell you though!!
