Am presently retired for 3 years from the nursing proffesion.  I worked with mentally handicapped males in an instution for 25 years.  I'd still be working but I had a motor vehicle accident in which I had a closed head injury and had memory problems.  Thank goodness I had my 25 years in so I could get my pension and benefits.  I believe we are where we are meant to be as I took care of my grandchild for 3 years till she started school.  Today we have an extremely close relationship - she will be 9 this August.  She is the daughter of my oldest son who lives with me and he has her every weekend, so I continue to see her all the time.  I also have another son who lives with his father who I don't see very much - and not because he lives far away.    Joined several groups on Eons, and am having a good time here, and have met several new, wonderful people.
