More about me

I grew up in a large working class family and except for a few years in a nearby city I have always lived in the same small town in northeastern Massachusetts. After high school in nineteen sixty-eight I worked in factories, convenience stores, as a hotel desk clerk, and worked briefly for the Internal Revenue Service. None of those jobs ever brought me personal fulfillment because I have always felt drawn to creative work, especially poetry. Writing poems brings me such a feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction that I believe it's the work I was meant to do. My ideal life would be to be a successful poet and short story writer and live in a cabin in the mountains.

Writing poetry and short stories. Listening to music at home and going to concerts. Reading reading reading! Taking long walks in the park or the mountains or by the ocean or going anywhere just to enjoy the beauty and peace of nature. Meditating on the meaning of life. Spending long hours in libraries or bookstores especially on rainy days. Enjoying a meal at a cafe or nice Italian restaurant.
