Places I've been

Lived in California most all my life, but traveled through a bunch of states on vacations. I've lived in Quartzsite AZ for about 3 years. I've been to Kansas - I had bought a house there (sold it recently). I love Laughlin NV - something about the Colorado River just calls to me. Been to the Netherlands, my family's from there. And went to Hawaii on honeymoon with "Sad Story #1" many years ago.

Hi everyone! My name is Nellie. I was born July 20,1957 in Santa Monica, California. First generation American; my parents immigrated from Holland in 1953. I am the youngest of  3 girls.  I started my early years in Malibu CA,  then in 1965 after the death of my father, we moved, and I grew up in Port Hueneme (pronounced Y-nee-me), CA, which is right next door to Oxnard.  I am rather shy, so at first it may seem like I'm a snob or that I don't have much to say, but once you get to know me, I am very warm,  fun loving and chatty.  I have a boyfriend, two sons and a cat. I am a people person, I love my family, friends and cat and I'd love to have you as my new friend..

Favorite TV Shows

LOST! Lost is my favorite. But, to whoever developed Kates character ~ I hate you ~ IMO you turned her into a bubblehead who buckles under pressures and gets Jack and Sawyer into more eye rolling pradicaments than I dont know what. What do Jack and Sawyer see in her?! Great season all in all. Also on my list of favorites are: Dexter, True Blood, Big Love

Favorite Movies

Any Doris Day w/James Garner or Rock Hudson Movie or Danny Kaye Movie, I love Calamity Jane and The Secert Life of Watler Mitty. Other favorites include Back to the Future, Cucoon, Enchanted, Miss Petagrew, Box of Moonlight, Joe Dirt, Under The Tuscan Sun, The Last Mimzy, WALL-E, Kate & Leopold and Overboard just to name a few.

Favorite Books

I'm a member of Audible.com. I get two new audible books a month to listen to. I have about a 40 - 50 minute drive to work so i am always listening to books on my mp3 player. I also listen to archived radio shows, such as Coast to Coast AM, The X Zone, Phils Gang, and Alex Jones.

Yosemite, Colorado River, Seattle, San Francisco

Favorite Animals

Horses (although i've never owned one, its been a dream of mine.) Dogs, I haven't owned a dog either. I do have a lovely cat named Sweetems and she is quite befitting of her name. She is why i dont have a dog.
