My partner Sam and I live in North Charleston. He owns his own business--I work at home as a medical transcriptionist. I was an English teacher for 20 years. I work part-time in a junior college library. We both like to exercise and travel when we can. This weekend we're going to kayak at Lake Jocassee in the South Carolina mountains (yes, I know, they barely qualify as mountains). I just turned 60 years old--a sign that it's time to re-invent myself! I did it at 30, 40, and 50....

     Sam and I recently bought kayaks and we've enjoyed trips to Florida and to two or three of the lakes here in South Carolina.  We want to do some sea and river kayaking but those require a bit more research and some logistical maneuvers that we have to prepare for.
