I have never lived life without the love of an adoring, accepting and compassionate animal.
I haven't lost a pet recently however 3 years ago one of my cats passed on of hyper-thyroidism and kidney failure at age 17. Her sibling, Ashley, is still alive at 18 1/2 years. She isn't what she was a year ago and seems to not be doing as good in some ways. We love her and hate to think of the day when she will not be around anymore.. but as with all life.. it all comes full circle.
I have more to talk about since we have now rescued a kitten.
I'm wondering if I qualify to join your group since I love all pets and animals.
