Places I've been

I hate to admit it but I have lived my whole life in Texas. But saying that, Texas is the most wonderful state in the union. I have traveled all over the United States, Hawaii and Mexico. But as Dorothy said, "There is no place like Home". I live outside of Houston. I don't like the pollution but that is the cost of living here. Would I move somewhere else, to be honest yes. But this is where my daughters live and so I continue to live here. The good news is I am now open to anything maybe even a move.

More about me

I have been divorced for five years and I am loving life. It is so exciting to be this age and to be single.  There are so many experiences waiting for me. I love to seek and find new friends, new places to go and new challenges. Each day is exciting for I do not know who I will meet or what I may do. It's great to be alive. Don't you just love life.  My belief is smile, be happy.

Activities

I love to run around with my daughters, whether it is thrift shopping, ziplining or just hanging out. They are wonderful and keep me on my toes. When I am not with them, I am always doing something around my house. Life is just so much fun; I can find fun in just sitting on my patio with good old Mother Nature.

I give to the ASPCA and to private organizations that I know actually help people like Bridge Over Troubled Water

Favorite Music

My music is varied from the 50s until now. I have 8000 songs on my pod. One of my favorites is Kiss and Say Goodbye. I have others but that is for another day and another time.

Favorite TV Shows

With no dancing show or amazing race, right now I do not have a favorite show. Come on be honest, it is a vast abyss.

Favorite Movies

The first Star Wars series, Overboard, Meet the Parents, etc. I love comedies.

Favorite Books

I read self help books, like health, sex, study of gemstones, relationships. Truly my favorite book is Erma Bombeck's book, It Is Time To Go Home When You Look Like Your Passport. It is such a funny wonderful book!

Favorite Quotes

Daddy use to always say, sit with your back to the wall and keep your gun hand handy!!! Another one of his ditties was Life's hard then you Die.

Favorite People

This is an easy one: my wonderful daughters and my grandbabies. I do have a wonderful best friend that I love also.

Favorite Places

Galveston, Albuquerque, NM, downtown Chicago in June, Hawaii. And I am ready to make new favorite places.

Favorite Animals

I love cats. I have two outside and my one very spoiled rotten on inside. I feed the birds because they look hungry. I feed strays, let's just say I have a weakness for animals. Also when my daughter came back from UT she gave me 3 guinea pigs. I feel in love with them but told her never ever bring me an animal that has to be caged. They were so pathetic and when they died, I cried over each and ever one of them. I am a push over for small furry creatures!
