More about me

Among other things, I am a wildscapes photographer living in the Pacific Northwest.  I'm learning how to interpret my photographs as digital art; great fun, always something to learn and experiment with.

Used to be a range rider in Texas before the big mosey of '92, relocating to the Pacific Northwest.

I love the outdoors; camping, cooking, hiking, fly fishing, photography and more.

I try to live effectively, following the 7 Habits model developed by Stephen Covey.  I'm on a journey of Awareness using the work of Anthony de Mello as a guide. 

I enjoy solitude and wilderness, the warm glow of sunrise in a forest and the special light on a lone beach at sunset.  I love the companionship of my wife (Trail Boss) and my faithfull "buddy butt", Shaddow.  We all go on photo safaris.  See our travel / photo blog at http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Paddymac/

I'm a fly caster; used to be a fly fisher.  I love to stand in a forested stream in hip waders with a flyrod.  Some sportsmen cut the barb off.  I cut the whole curve of the hook off and cast flies on top of the water.  When there's a hit, they know it and I know it.  I salute them and thank 'em for the encounter. 

I like to smoke and grill food.  I like to eat it too.  I belong to the Barbecue Group.  Belong to other groups too.

Honoring the moment, listening, digital art and photography, barbecuing and smoking meats.

Too many to have a favorite, but I like to see a certified financial statement before I make a serious donation.

Nothing really favorite I guess; a little of this, a little of that. Listen to my playlist for a sampling.

Not much on tv.

Not much on movies. Dancing with Wolves wasn't bad.

Outdoors in wilderness areas alone with a camera, in a campground with my sweeties or in a stream with a flyrod and gear. Love the open range.
