More about me

I always lived on the far North side of Chicago. My daughter Alissa lives in Chicago and my other daughter, Meris, lives in New York City. In 2004 I moved to Hatfield, Wisconsin. My house is against woods and a pond. I have deer come to my feeder throughout the day. I have had as many as 31 at one time.

 

When I arrived in Hatfield, population 50, I completed my Orphan Train Trilogy; Wildflowers, Bridie's Daughter & Secrets. Not many people in the U.S. know about the orphan trains. It is a bittersweet history in that some children got loving homes; some did not. Between 1854 and 1929 over 200,000 homeless children left New York City to find new homes in the West and Southwest.

Book Reviews awarded my trilogy Five Stars and all three were Finalists in national/international contests. If interested in more information, my blog is at

Activities

I traveled extensively and plan on more. I enjoy tennis, fishing, snorkeling, reading and swimming. I skied for 20 wonderful years.

Disabled American Veterans and Amvets.

Favorite Music

Classical. I prefer the Russian composers. Their music is filled with passion. Some rock groups and Enya.

Favorite TV Shows

PBS programing, Jay Leno, News, Seinfeld and Frazier. I have Netflix which gives me what I want when I want it.

Favorite Movies

Dr. Zhivago, Casablanca and anything with Margaret O'Brien.
