I am currently recovering from treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.  It looks like the treatments were successful but the recovery path is going to be long.  More info on my treatment and progress may be round at www.nasowhat.blogspot.com.

 I am generally an upbeat person and approached my cancer treatment not from the point of view of being a survivor but from the point of view of being a fighter.  I looked at every treatment as an engagement with the enemy and the side effects as the collateral damage from the battle.  I feel cancer patients need to realize that we are stronger than we think.  We choose to fight the cancer to continue living.  That is why I prefer to be considered a cancer fighter and not a survivor.
