I'm an older "otaku", a wife, mother, and grandmother who is a bit out of sync with most folks my age. Why? Because I love strange things like roleplaying, and creating fantasy worlds to populate with characters from my imagination. Way back when, I used to DM dungeons and dragons games every weekend at my home. When that ended I brought my game world to the net and began a collaborative writing board where several imaginative people got together to create wondrous sword and sorcery tales. That came to an end recently, but I'd love to start it up again someday since it fulfilled my need to write.

When I'm not cruising around the net, I'm reading or practicing art. Recently I decided to teach myself how to draw (mostly anime characters). Drawing is a slow process, but it helps to feed my creative side.

My husband and I got into astronomy a couple of years ago too. We don't see too much, thanks to the big city lights washing out the sky, but that doesn't stop us from dragging out our telescopes on weekends when the weather cooperates.

I have 2 lovely daughters, 2 grandkids, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. Sheesh, you'd think I need 2 of everything, huh? *laughs*
