I live with my husband Jim in the boonies near Locust Grove, Oklahoma. We have an "Old MacDonald's Farm" complete with cattle, horses, ducks, geese, chickens, dogs, cats, and a guinea pig. We have two daughters, Kara and Jennifer, two sons-in-law, Lee (Kara's) and Daniel (Jennifer's), and four grandchildren, Katy 7 and Eli 5 (Kara's) and Nevaeh 3 and Xander 2 weeks (Jennifer's). My mother (80) is still alive and lives by herself in Tulsa (about 45 miles away). I work as a counselor at Roosevelt Elementary School in Pryor, OK. I love my job. It gives me an opportunity to touch the lives of needy students in very special ways. I am an active member of First United Methodist Church in Locust Grove, where I teach a middle school Sunday school class, play guitar in our evening praise service, coordinate our worship projector, and serve on several committees. I am a twenty-seven-year member of Girl Scouting, although this last year may be my last for a while.
