More about me

An RN since 1968, I find nursing extremely rewarding, both emotionally and financially. It is a major part of my identity. I've enjoyed every setting I've worked in, and usually found wonderful co-workers with whom to share that part of my life.

I have been driving Prius's since Oct., 2000, when the first model was available in the Southwest, and am now averaging 52.4 mpg. I put 20k on my vehicles each year for my job, and doing something that will allow me to leave a smaller footprint on the earth pleases me.

I live out in the country, and have for 29 years. We don't know but a few people out here-- there just aren't a lot of community functions where we are. I miss having a community, a neighborhood, and friends nearby to share my joys and sorrows.

Activities

1980-1984 Very involved in NOW in NM, serving as President and attending the NOW conference in Washington, DC in 1983. Curves, Int. 3-5x a week, and am learning Tai Chi with my husband. I've just started painting in watercolors and hope to take a drawing class this fall.
