Hi there...i'm a happy and contented 62 year old who is very young at heart.  I am the oldest of 10, have no children of my own, therefore no grandchildren, but I do have 24 nieces and nephews, 14 of whom are married or have significant others and they have blessed me with 32 great-nieces and nephews----soon to be 34 (October and November). 

I am still overweight:-( and am trying {not very successfully:-)} to work on it.  I live a very busy, hectic life...but I LOVE life and I enjoy every minute of it. 

 I have very strong faith in God and enjoy taking the time to appreciate His creation;  I am a born again, Spirit-filled Christian and enjoy a wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ, the center of my JOY!!!  He IS my LIFE, my Savior and my Lord.  I live life to the fullest and am pretty much content. 

I belong to Victory Church in Troy PA; a wonderful, growing, full-gospel outreach church.  Besides my own family, my church family is great and our Pastor, Josh Payne, and his precious wife Marcia are awesome. They also have a beautiful 4 year old daughter!   We just built a new church because in 4 years we have outgrown 2 buildings!  Our first service in the new sanctuary was on April 5, 2009..Palm Sunday!  It is so exciting to be a part of this ministry!!!  On September 20, 2009 VICTORY CHURCH will celebrate it's 5th anniversary!

 My precious Mom went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2008, exactly one month prior to her 86th birthday.  On Mother's day morning (April 11, 2008), her favorite singer/song-writer, Dottie Rambo, went "Home" also.  Dottie wrote a song called "Come Spring" and it always reminds me of my Mom going to be with Jesus "Come Spring". Now Mom and Dottie are making music together.  I miss my Mom so much but know that I will see her again when I get "HOME".

All in all I have been so very blessed.  When I joined Eons I was hopeful to make some new friends and so far I have found some terrific kindred spirits on this site.

Activities

Reading, walking, sewing, cooking, family and/or friends get-togethers, church and Bible Study, music (singing with sisters and/or choir), crossword puzzles, board games, learning new things on the computer, writing (I'm working on a daily devotional), playing the piano, helping my Dad, TRAVELING!!!!

Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, YWAM, FLN, K-Love, Disabled Veterans, American Bible Society, Salvation Army, Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center, my church's food bank and clothing store.

Contemporary Christian Music, Southern Gospel, Old Hymns of the Faith, Classic Rock, Blues, some country.

CSI: Miami (love David Caruso..as a sis-in-law says, "He's all that AND a bag of chips"!, also the other CSI shows, Law and Order all 3, In Plain Sight, Burn Notice, TV movies, Extreme Home Makeover, Leverage, Criminal Minds, Bones, The Closer, Eleventh Hour.

Favorite Movies

Hope Floats, Sleepless In Seattle, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Return to Me, Pay It Forward, almost anything with Meg Ryan or Julia Roberts. The Indiana Jones movies, The Star Wars Movies. Too many more to name!

My family...especially my sisters; Pastor Josh and Marcia Payne and my awesome church (Victory Church, Troy PA); my ever-widening circle of friends...you know who you are and know that I will always love you and be there for you. Our military troops! My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude to each and every man or woman who has served in our military! You are all HEROS!
