Have lived in central US all of my life except for 4 yrs of my childhood.We were in Ft Pierce Florida, and I can still smell the salt water. We moved to Falls City, NE when I was going into fifth grade. my parents stayed there, retired there and passed away there. Since we were married we have lived in Nebraska SE to sandhills and back and a few years in Kansas our oldest son was born in NE and our youngest born in Kansas but only 12 mi apart.

My name is Jan and I have been farmer's wife for most of my life . Still am. We got married when I was 17 and Johnnie was 19. That was May 29, 1966 .  We have 2 boys and basically grew up with our kids. Was manager of bar for 4 years. Then was quite ill in 1980's. After a lengthy recovery decided to go to nursing school @ Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte NE ; so I have been a farmers wife, mother, bartender, college student, then a nurse, and now work out of home doing medical research on COPD, and chattin online with my friends. My lifelong dream was to become a nurse. I not only did it I am very good at it. I enjoy almost all of it WELL MOST OF IT ANYWAY. My favorite part was the moms and babes. I also enjoy the COPD research. And since that's what my mom died from it makes me feel as if I'm still doing something to help others (even if it was to late to help her all I could do was give her my support and love. Now that I can't do a 8 hr or 12 hr job, I sure miss the hands on work. So I guess research is the best I can do to help others with COPD, I have had two articles published, and hope to have more.  On Oct 7, 2004 I had a stroke, then on May31 ,2005 had a second one;so had to quit work. Was left with neuropathy on my left side. So am unable to stand for very long, and of coarse am left handed. But still have my mind, kinda,  sorta...LOL!! We have two wonderful sons and 2 beautiful grandchildren. All of which you will see pictures of from time to time.
