Well...I am a female. Stand 5'10" in my bare feet.I grew up right on the Pacific Ocean. Our neighborhood was a strip of houses between two jutting points about a half mile long. My immediate family was quite disfunctional, but I did not know this then. After college I went on a road trip seeking open spaces that I could afford to live near. I found the Rocky Mountains. I helped build a nest at about 8500 ft. surrounded by beauty and friends and lots of music constantly playing in the background. My only child chose to join the Marine Corps out of high school. Apparently he wasn't listening when I suggested the Peace Corps, or perhaps I was slurring my words. He is about to ship out to Afghanistan and there ain't a damn thing I can do about that. I have prayer flags hung, a pocket angel in my pocket everyday, a blue star mom flag in his bedroom's window, and a buddha medalion around his neck. My two chocolate labradors share my new space. Grandma Snickers is gonna make it through this winter. Her granddaughter Mia just finished the make me crazy phase, and I intend to keep her.
