Well, I've been a member of Eons for a few years, haven't been online much lately. Life got busy but I'm trying to check out the site more frequently again. I'm now 61 (how did the last few years go by so fast!) I live with an 85-pound faithful companion, a collie-mix who fortunately, is consistently forgiving and patient with me, and a cat with the sharpest claws ever. I love to read, especially history and mystery. I enjoy going to movies, and am currently trying to catch up with the Academy Award nominees. I like going to plays, love musicals -- I recently started volunteering at a theater and I expect that to be great fun.  I enjoy traveling, both locally, investigating various towns and cities in my state, and more extensively. I took my first cruises last year, to the Mexican Riviera and in June I went to Alaska. I don't have any plans for major travel in 2010, will probably work on my house.  I work as a librarian for a large aerospace company. My kids are all grown and I'm discovering the joys and challenges of being single after many years of being married. I enjoy reading posts from folks all over the Eons universe and will respond to anyone who wants to send a message.

My favorites change with my mood. Mostly musicals or intelligent thrillers, not slash and gore.

Activities

Reading, theater, movies. Walking the dog (or rather, being walked by the dog). Gardening novice with more enthusiasm than skill. Travel whenever I can afford it.

Australia, Denmark, the Olympic Peninsula (Washington).

Right now, my dog Chief. I'm thinking of getting a second dog but he's pretty spoiled and might not handle sharing with a new pet very well.
