More about me: Hello Everyone,

I work as an educator with the highest of officials on the state level. I love to volunteer my time working with adults and children seeking to furhter their education. I am especially proud to be the mother of three adult children. In addition, I have a number of wonderful, well mannered grandchildren.

I returned to college after the last child turned 18 (2006). I am continuing to persue my education. I amat one of America's top Universities. I am also an individual in a certificate program at a local college focusing on the envioronment and sustainability. I have recently completed a term sitting on the Board of Trustees at a local college in the state. I am now seeking to get myself familiar with local government in-order to get elected to city council or the school board. I can make a difference. I have broken down barriers.

Thank you for your comment in my post, "Feminism in romantic relationships". I totally agree with what you said about always wanting to be in control. As for myself, I feel that if I allow my boyfriend to control the situation, I am in total submission and have surrendered and made myself less for him. I know a lot of it has to do with my pride. I have always been a prideful person ever since I was little and it may have to do with my poor relationship that I had with both of my parents, leaving me with no option but to take responsibility for myself at such a young age. I know that it is overbearing for my boyfriend at times, so I am working on it. Thanks again!
