Michigan, Canada, Mexico, FL, NV, IN, OK, IL, TN, NC, CA,TX, LA, AL, Mexico. I sound like Hank Snow. Born in IN, raised, married and lived in GA. Loved Brown Co., IN until we moved to GA. My dad always took us to MI and Canada for vacations. Blue Ridge, GA and the mountains of east TN/NC are favorite places.

Quick synopsis:Divorced. Short. Southern. Off the wall.Reb to the bone though born in IN, transplanted to GA and TX, I claim REBELSHIP.Always been an animal person-- horses, dogs, cats, raccoons, anything unless it slithers. Have 1 dog now and a psychic (and psycho) cat. Somehow, I ended up working in mediccal support for many years. However, I was a music and art major. Go figure.Taurus personified: stubborn, outspoken, opinionated..and alas, lacking in tact . .. Taureans though warm and caring, are rather blunt (I prefer HONEST), but would not deliberately offend. anyone. Working with terminal patients was fulfilling. We had a 2-way need, People fascinate me and I lose myself in their stories.Briefly, I taught grade school and worked in education before I was drafted into medicine through a temp part-time job. Although I admit to my childhood ambitions of being 1.) A nurse and 2.) A jockey. When I was in school though the sex was wrong for #2 and music and art got in the way of #1.Total belief and love in and for my country is inborn. I come from a long line of TN judges and lawmen.. America is not perfect, but it is still the BEST in the world, even at its worst. Go live in one of the other foreign countries longer than a vacation and NOT as a tourist. (And if you should LIKE it...please stay there!!!) I was blessed to be born here.. I'm conservative and scared as hell, as we all should be, since it seems everybody else in the world envies what we have and has painted a bullseye on our backside. I believe we are our own worst enemy. - United we stand and divided, we most certainly will fall.....or as The Book says, " A house divided against itself cannot stand.". .Eastern TN ancestry is Scot-Cherokee.. My dad's family were among the Jamestown settlers, immigrating from Scotland as indentured servants, guards at the settlement.. One reason maybe my family never owned slaves. From VA they went to SC>NC>TN,; State boundaries moved around a bit in there over the years, so the people might not have moved as much as the states did in the young nation.Art keeps me acceptably sane. I've painted Native American portraits for 40 years - before it was "cool" to paint Western Art. Watercolor pencil with ink is my preference, but also scupt in clay. I still sing, play the piano. I'm a ham.

About 5 of my 8 kids, which varies from time to time according to who has done what. Famous People: Pope John Paul XXIII; Will Rogers and Mark Twain; Teddy Roosevelt. My heroines would be Elizabeth Blackwell..the first woman to go to medical school in the 1800's. Can you imagine the challenges that she faced? #1 would be Sacajawea, the little Indian guide of Lewis and Clarke, undoubtedly. Just a young girl, so brave and we owe her so much. Eleanore Roosevelt, Laura Bush and Helen Keller are next. Add Kermit the frog. I know how it feels to be green.

Horses, dogs, raccoons (..if you have them neutered and pets from birth!) Raccoons are so intelligent, it's scary. NO REPTILES. Two yrs ago, an abused kitten smaller than my hand, (Josie), moved in. Now she's larger than my dog. Out of loyalty to her, therefore I must include CAT. She turns somersaults, says "mamma" and is a peoplephobe.. Anyone comes in the house, she plays SplatCat against the closet wall. Strange cat but an excellent judge of character..my kids think I'm going round the bend and she's a figment. She vanishes if they come here.
