Quick synopsis:Divorced. Short. Southern. Off-the wall.Reb to the bone though born in IN, raised in Atlanta, GA and live in TX, I claim Rebelship.. All my life I've been an animal person, horses, dogs, cats, raccoons, anything unless it slithers. Have 2 dogs now and a psychic (and psycho) cat. Somehow, I ended up working in medicine for about 25 years.. I've managed an oncology clinic, been an EKG tech, transcriber, worked in radiology, pathology, medical libraries, ortho, directed insurance departments, pediatrics and psychology. In civil service, I was a medical coder for the Army. However, I was a music and art major. Go figure.Typical Taurus, stubborn, outspoken and opinionated . ..unfortunately Taureans though being warm and caring, are rather tactless, but truly would not deliberately offend. anyone. Working with patients was something I honestly enjoyed. People fascinate me and I always lose myself in their stories. I also have taught grade school and worked in education before I was drafted into medicine for the rest of my life.I love and believe in my country. It's not perfect, but it is still the BEST in the world, even with its faults and I was blessed to be born here.. I'm conservative and scared as hell, as we all should be, since it seems everybody else envies what we have and has painted a bullseye on our backside. I believe we are our own worst enemy and must forget partisanship. - United we stand and divided, we most certainly will fall.....or as the Book says, " A house divided against itself cannot stand.". .Eastern TN ancestry is Scot-Cherokee.. My dad's family were among the Jamestown settlers and came from Scotland as indentured servants. They were guards there. One reason my family never owned slaves, I suppose.Art is very important to me, helps to keep me sane. I've painted Native American portraits for 30 years- before it was "cool" to paint Western Art. Watercolor pencil with ink is my preference, but I use other media and scupt in clay. Love to sing, play the piano. Acting in Community theatre here is great fun. but now I haven't the time to devote to rehearsals , I cannot imagine a world without music or friendship.

About 5 of my 8 of my kids, and that varies from time to time. My best friend in NV. If you mean famous people: I'll say Pope John XXIII; Will Rogers and Mark Twain;. My heroines would be Elizabeth Blackwell..the first woman to go to medical school. No.1 would be Sacajawea, the little Indian guide of Lewis and Clark's; Eleanore Roosevelt and Laura Bush. Yes and I like John Edward and Kermit the frog. I know how it feels to be green.

Horses, dogs, raccoons (..if you have them neutered and pets from birth!). My dad bred AKC English bullterriers when I was a child and published a dog magazine. I was taught to shoot as soon as I could hold a rifle and when I was barely old enough to sit a saddle, I took off at a full gallop, second nature. Two yrs ago, I was adopted by an abused kitten smaller than my hand, (Jose Gato), who now is larger than my dogs. So out of loyalty to him I must include CAT. He turns somersaults, says "mamma" and fears people. Anyone comes in the house, he plays Splat Cat against the closet wall. He also sleeps occasionally on my bed at night and likes to hold my hand in both paws in the dark. Strange cat.
