Places I've been

I was an army wife and we lived in Tex, Or., Miss, and back to Tex. I was raised in Mo. and now consider myself a true Texan. I now reside in Central, Tx. and like the hills and trees as well as all the critters. I lived in the same house for 57 years near Lubbock Tx. where my husband worked for the Santa Fe railroad. I have 3 children.

I have enjoyed my life on this earth and have gone from riding in a horse-drawn buggy to getting on the jets of today.  Boy, what a ride!!  I love people and getting to know all ages.  I took a couple of courses in college at age 6o.  I throughly enjoy life and look forward to tomorrow.  I like traveling but only in the good USA. I enjoy camping in the mountains and breathing the mountain air. I was raised on a farm and liked working with farm animals. I have three children and four grandchildren. I find these days and times a true test of everyones tenacity. We will all need to learn how to get along with much less. The days of the depression years taught us that valuable lesson.

Activities

bird watching, reading, socializing, people, animals of all kinds, reminiscing of the past and future too. Writing stories of family for my Grandchildren. Interested in word origins. I like knowing new people. Any kind of games that hone the mind.

Rock and pop, oldies, country. My favorite music is folk but I like to change around and listen to all types.

The Best years of our Lives, John Wayne movies, Lonesome Dove, Grumpy Old Men, Jack Nichols movies.

Harlen Cobin books, Cold Mountain, mysteries of any kind.

My grandsons, those who are honest, my fellow oldsters. those who have a clear opinion and are not wishy-washy. No one who tries to impress me too hard.

Montana, Colorado and Idaho. I love the mountains. No seashore for me.
