I've lived in ... Joliet, IL, Almond, WI (25 miles south of Stevens Pt.), Rochelle, IL, De Witt, IA (25 miles north of Davenport, IA), Athens, GA, Fond du Lac, WI, Menomonee Falls, WI, Canton, GA, Waycross, GA, Savannah, GA, and last I really hope it to be THE last place, Jacksonville Beach, FL! I've travelled through every state in the Union, with the exception of Hawaii (on the ole bucket list!), Ontario, Canada, the Virgin Islands, Nassau, Mexico, Jamaica, and Nassau and I've been to England, Scotland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Belgium, and the airports in Shannon, Ireland and Iceland - still want to visit Greece, Ireland and Italy (bucket list, bucket list!)

More about me

What can I tell you about me?  I enjoy travelling when I can get away - a lot easier timewise since I retired this past October, but not all that easy financially and with having to make arrangements for my dog!  I love to read, spend time with friends, listen to music (has a tremendous effect on my mood), walk on the beach sometimes, riding my bicycle sometimes, going to movies, concerts, boat rides, making new friends and just sitting home doing nothing other times! 

 

Favorite TV Shows

So many, so little time! Since I apparently enjoy watching people make idiots of themselves, I enjoy "Reality" T.V.: The Bachelor/Bachelorette (WHY do people go on those shows??); American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, House, Nurse Jackie, Burn notice ... and how could I forget? Almost anything on HGTV!

reading, listening to music, spending time with friends, driving, exploring my new home town!

Pretty much anything depending on my mood, with the exception of Rap and hip-hop, not too much into country though I like almost any music that's performed well!

Favorite Movies

Almost anything - chick flicks, of course, but action adventure, and drama as well. I've watched Phantom of the Opera, Serendipity, Burn After Reading and Fargo more than once or twice, too.

Favorite Books

Mostly mysteries - but I've joined an International Book Club and find I'm actually enjoying reading about other countries and cultures! Who would have guessed?? I also go through historical fiction periodically ... Latest book that I couldn't put down was "Matterhorn, a novel about the war in Viet nam"
