Though originally from Georgia, I've lived in Miami, Florida in decades past. As a former military spouse, I lived in South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and in the outback of Australia.

More about me

I am fifty-seven single, and currently residing with my mom in the mountains of Tennessee. I have two children. I have a fantastic son in Wyoming and a wonderful daughter in Delaware. I have a 10 year old grandson and a 6 year old granddaughter who are the the apples of this "Memaw's" eye.

I love to meet and talk to people and make new friends.

 

Activities

I am writer. I am working on several projects at the moment. I have had several poems publish and have received several awards from local writer's oragnizations.

Favorite Charities

My favorite charity is FuRR which is located in Little Rock Arkansas. They rescue and rehome stray cats. During the process they neuter/spay, worm and treat them for any medical problems before finding homes. If the stray is too feral then they are release in the country to help farmers with their rodent problems.

Favorite Music

I love the oldies and the classics of the big band era.

Favorite TV Shows

At the moment, I am into various shows. I like Medium, Ghost Whisperer, Trauma, Jay Leno Show, History Detectives (on PBS), and the new show V.

Favorite Movies

I like the old classics like Its a Wonderful Life, Topper, The Birds, and The Wizard of Oz.

Favorite Books

I love to read! I am a pretty electic reader. I read authors like LaHaye, Clive Cussler, Robert Ludlum, Anne McCafferty and other mystery/action suspence novels.

Favorite People

I have several friends who have put up with me through out the years. My writer's group are very special to me as well as my the "girls" I like to hang out with.

Favorite Places

My favorite place is my easy chair with a good book and cup of coffee.

Favorite Animals

I love cats and would have several if my apartment complex permitted us to do so. I have had quite a few in the past, but now I enjoy feeding the squirrels, chipmunks and birds on my deck.
