Welcome! If you are visiting my profile/parlor page it is most likely because you have happened onto a post I've made in one of the groups I've joined. Something I've written has piqued your curiosity about me (that is usually what takes me to the profile pages of other Eons members); I'm delighted it did, happy that you've stopped by and hope that you will take the time to browse about a bit.

I find it awkward to write about myself....shy....but it seems the appropriate thing to do....introduce myself....since you've come by for a visit. Let me start by saying that life has been good to me in a most ordinary way; that is to say in a quiet, peaceful fashion. No tragic health issues affecting me or members of my, now, immediate family; I haven't any outstanding achievements to my credit, no grand triumphs, nothing exciting....just a very simple ordinary life; happy marriage, wonderful children, a few really good friends, travel (a passion), weightlifting and overall fitness (another passion), hiking, love of books (not a passion but a cherished pass time), cooking (and here's a blessing.....I'm not predisposed to 'wearing' what I prepare), and oh yes, wine, I do adore my wines. I can just forget coffee...I need no 'jump start' in the morning....... I'll just wait and have my wine in the evening! Ah, so many good times! I'm telling you about my life so I must naturally include the bad times too; rough patches....they are, after all, part of life...There was the incessant tug of war that seemed to be an integral part of raising children; then there were the misunderstandings and personal disappointments, etc; all something of a slog but manageable with patience; and of course the most difficult of all times, the inevitable loss of loved ones; But wait....I said ordinary didn't I? Well...... I am from-where I am today....and come to think of it that's not at all ordinary now days! The question then becomes....is that necessarily a good thing? I've ambled on long enough about myself.
