Friends describe me as trustworthy, faithful and a good companion. I believe in open-mindedness and a commitment to the tried-and-true. In most things, I have moderate views and believe in a wide range of possibilities in life. I always try to express myself with candor and openness which has made connections between me and my friends deeper and stronger. I am a very responsible person that is giving and loving, sometimes to giving, but a heart that has not been broken doesn’t know what love truly is.

Like someone who can sleep comfortably on either side of the bed, I am equally at home with ideas and beliefs that I have held for a long time and with new ways of thinking and believing. I always try to be accepting of others and flexible in my own commitments. I try to remain well-informed in areas that matter to me, and I believe I am aware of who I am and where I stand.

I enjoy my own company as much as I enjoy the company of others. Because of this I am comfortable with almost any group of family or friends. Whether they are pumped up and lively or calm and subdued, I remain at ease. I am comfortable taking the lead; but I can also lay back and let someone else be in charge. I can seem shy at first, mostly because I want to see what you have to say and get a true feeling of who you are….

I am the type of person that when I take on a task at work or at home, I am reliable and get the job done in an organized way, I define the goal, lay out a plan, figure how long the task will take, and get to work "solid and dependable me." But, I am not a slave to the plan. I am committed to it, but not chained to it; the connection is more casual and informal. I know that sometimes “the best laid plans" fall off the tracks; but when this happens, I clean up the train wreck and start over, undeterred. When plans change, I’m okay with it. In fact, sometimes I change the plan. It's too nice of a Saturday to finish organizing the garage. Let's go for a bike ride instead. The next rainy Saturday will likely find me back in the garage, but for now the work can wait.

The most important thing I am doing now is being a good mother to my son and any new friend would know that is what comes first in my life at this point in time. One more year then he is off to college -- mom is ready to explore things with a new friend.

I believe that when one door closes a window will open. That whether a relationship was good or bad we can learn from it and improve the next and at some point everything will come together and all the pieces will fit making a relationship that will last forever. Someday I will find that relationship.

Activities

I enjoy most things outdoors - camping, hiking, swimming, skiing, I also enjoy photography and cooking. I like a BBQ with friends or spending an evening curled up on the sofa watching a good movie with someone special or we can dance the night away.
