Hometown: Central Texas
Places I've been: I love central Texas and have lived most of my life here. Worked and raised the family here with fun trips to the coast and Colorado. After the divorce, I ran field offices for fiber optic construction companies in Arkansas and other parts of Texas during the winters and managed a summer-season restaurant in Colorado. Finally, decided to spend my "mid-life crisis" in Monte Vista, Colorado, working for the local rural electric coop. Hiked the mountains weekly, traveled and explored all kinds of neat places within 350 miles. Now, I'm back home with renewed interest in things here. Have discovered the beauty of Big Bend, the expanding wine industry in our Hill Country and all sorts of unique adventures.
More about me: I am now 56 and don't feel a day over 25. Life is a blast and I am enjoying the journey.

Years ago, after the big D, I made THE LIST. It had things that I wanted to do but had never tried, as well as things I wanted to do again. After five years, I had to make a new list.

I am updating it again. It has been a type of roadmap through my mid-forties and 50's. While the first list had some small and somewhat conservative items, each revision includes things out of my comfort zone. The list I am working on now has a couple of more extreme adventures. I have been asked to write about it; maybe I'll blog it soon--now that the cast is off my ankle and my shoulder has almost healed. :)
Favorite Charities: American Red Cross. Have worked with them for years; sincerely impressed with the disaster help they give for small family fires and wildfires, particularly in remote areas AND their health & safety training programs. When they have problems in the organization, they work hard to correct them.
Favorite Music: I like a variety of music, but favorite is current country/western. Artists: "King" George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Alabama, Gary Allan, Dirks Bentley.
Favorite TV Shows: Do not watch much TV but have to admit I enjoy The Mentalist and Psych.
Favorite Places: Love Schlitterbaun (water park), Colorado mountains, Taos, central Texas, funky little restaurants with great food.
